In the near future a plague is unleashed, volcanoes explode, and a meteor hits the Pacific.  This last makes the water turn red, all the fish die, and the shipping stops.  All as the scientists expected.  But our heroes find that a man 2000 years ago predicted all of it.  Exactly.  Suddenly they are very interested in what else John had to say about what was coming.  Eventually they figure out what’s going on.
